Spanish Finn Sailor Alex Muscat, absolute winner of the GAES Palamós Christmas Race

470 men sailors Guillaume Pirouelle and Valentin claim best youth team award

Muscat won the Trofeu Manel Albalat absolute winner trophy while the Miquel Company trophy awarded to the best youth team was for French 470 men sailors Guillaume Pirouelle and Valentin.

Muscat finally claims the victory in Finn in Palamós after finishing second overall in three occasions. He took the lead from day one and has finished at ten points from second classified, Ukrainian sailor Andril Gusenko. Third place was for British sailor Andrew Mills.

 

After the medal race, French sailors Julie D’Ortolli and Noé Delpech claim the title in 49er finishing fourth while Spanish team Diego Botin and Yago López climb to the second place with a second place in the medal race. A bullet in the medal race has brought British team James Peters and Ed Fitzgerald to third place overall. Polish team Likasz Pzrybytek and Pawel Kolodzinski were fourth overall.

 

Top three in Laser Standard were sailors Elliot Hanson from Great Britain, Mathias Mollatt from Norway and Jonasz Stelmaszyk from Poland.

 

French dominance in 470 men with winners Guillaume Pirouelle and Valentin Sipan followed at just one point by Gabriel Skoczek and Achille Nebout while third place was for Kevin Pepponnet and Julien Lebrun.

 

Austrian team Lara Vdlan and Jolanta Ogar wins in 470 women with British team Freeman and Katie Tomsett take second place 9 points behind followed in third place by Polish sailors Ewa Szczesna and Irmina Mrozek .

 

Victory for Alison Young from Great Britain in the Laser radial women with French competitors Amelie Riou and De Kerangat finishing second and third respectively.

 

The top three teams of the new Olympic class FX  are German sailors Victoria Jurczok and Anika Lorenz followed by Danish sailors Ida Marie Baad and Johanna Sommarlund and Sofie Düring from Sweden.

 

The 420 podium confirms the absolute dominance of the French squad with sailors Pierre Garreta and Michael Elliot in the lead since day one followed by Machetti and Dantes and Migraine and Cour, second and third respectively.

 

In the Laser radial boys, the winner r is Marcus Magnusson from Sweden followed by Polish sailors Sebastian Kalafarski and Adrian Raczkowski.

 

Spanish podium in 29er with Martí Llena and Oriol Mahiques as leaders having won thirteen of the fourteen races sailed. Second and third place are for Carla and Marta Munté and Nil Mas and Jordi Llena respectively.
